Republic of Singapore is an island city-state and the smallest country in Southeast Asia. Malay Peninsula is located in southern Malaysian state of Johor and at 137 km north of the equator.

Singapore Flyer is the largest wheel in the world. Singapore Flyer is 160 meters high and 150 meters in diameter, the wheel is 30 meters taller than the London Eye. With breathtaking views, which change radically during the day and night, it is hard to choose the best time to take a ride Singapore Flyer. Little India is a colorful and exciting neighborhood of Singapore. In Little India you can visit Sri Veeramakaliamman, the oldest temple in the neighborhood, Mustafa Centre, a market full of goodies which is open around the clock, Abdul Gafoor Mosque and Sri Srinivasa Perumal temples and Sakyamuni Buddha Gaya.

Singapore Botanical Garden is an important attraction and should not be missed. Garden offers visitors a stunning visual spectacle: a rain forest, a ginger garden and orchid garden. Rainforest is one of the few preserved jungle origilana and exhibits over 300 species of flowers. The tallest tree in the Botanical Garden is 40 m high. Here are exhibited 600 species of orchids.

Children and adults will be delighted when they walk to the zoo. There are over 2,500 animals of 315 species, all living in a tropical generous space. Admire animals from all over the world, from butterflies to Asian elephants from tropical birds to polar bears, monkeys and orangutans.

If you want to better understand the country's history, you can visit two impressive museums: Asian Civilization Museum (11 galleries devoted to Asian civilization) and Singapore National Museum.

Orchard Road is the main street in Singapore. Tourist attraction and symbol of the city ideal shopping experience, Orchard Road is an experience that every tourist should try it.

Festivals and celebrations
Singapore is where many people live harmoniously: Chinese, Indian, Malaysian and Tamil. Every nation celebrates its colorful heritage through festivals and events, live music and performances full of sensational.

In February takes place the most awaited event of the year and beautiful: Chinese New Year. The festival takes place in Chinatown and the Chingay Parade is one of the most interesting attractions. During the event held Chinese theater plays, music and dance performances and fireworks spectacular.

March is reserved Festival for Children and Mosaic Music Festival (Esplanade is where representations occur jazz, soul, hip-hop and electro).

In April unfolds Singapore International Film Festival, Wesak Day takes place in May and celebrates Buddha's birth, beer lovers should visit Singapore in June when there is Beerfest Asia.

July is the month of holidays. The first event that occurs is Singapore Street Festival (held every weekend performances of theater, dance and magic). Follow Food Festival, when markets and restaurants in Singapore celebrates Asian food.

On 9 august is Singapore National Day, a day celebrated with fireworks, parades and entertainment city streets. In late September unfolds Singapore Grand Prix, an event that takes place at night in Marina Bay.

In November, Little India neighborhood event hosts Deepavali - Festival of Lights, when the whole neighborhood is light colored shades. For opera and theater, choose to visit the city in late October - early November, when there is Singapore Sun Festival.

And in Singapore, December is celebrated as Europe. Even though snow is missing, the city is decorated like fairy tales. New Year's Eve, the city is full of tourists and the atmosphere is amazing.
