Harsen's Island Ferry Shut Down Imminent
The word from the ferry is that there is quite a lot of shore ice mixed with heavy ice coming down at the ferry. The ice will inevitably jam later tonight (Friday), in the wee hours tonight, or early tomorrow (Saturday).
Those of you whom have been through this before, know the routine: shut down the ferry, allow the ice to set up, which won't take too long with the very cold temperatures expected, wait a few hours, then start cutting a path.
